We have borne witness to cultures built on enslaved labor, stolen land, exploitation of natural resources, and fervently protected borders — between countries, people, identities.

The SYRENA Project is our primal scream: a story about finding love and unity in the most unlikely circumstances. Through an extended development process, we seek to reimagine film collaborations with vulnerable communities - to deepen authenticity and challenge extractive models of film production.
